Jean-Charles Herpeux joins Tandberg Data

Tandberg Data appoints new Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales and Marketing

8 August 2007: Tandberg Data, a leading global supplier of backup and archiving technologies, today announced the appointment of Jean-Charles Herpeux as Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales and Marketing. Herpeux replaces Patrick Clarke, who has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Service.

Herpeux joins Tandberg Data from ACOL Technologies S.A., where he was the founder and CEO for the past 5 years. ACOL, a hi-tech start-up, designs and manufactures High Brightness LED (Light Emitting Diodes) products for use in solid state lighting applications. Herpeux is no newcomer to the storage industry. Prior to starting up ACOL, Herpeux worked at Quantum Corporation for five years. After joining in 1994 as Director for Southern Europe, Herpeux was promoted Sales Director for Europe in 1995 and VP EMEA in 1996. Before joining Quantum, Herpeux held various management positions at Seagate, Control Data and Citroën.
