RDX Dock Activity LED may Flash Constantly on Windows Operating Systems

When an RDX dock is used in a Windows operating system with antivirus software installed, the cartridge LED may flash continuously, even when the cartridge is not being accessed. This can happen on Windows 7 or later operating systems when Microsoft Security Essentials software is installed. It can also happen in Windows 8 or later systems based on the default configuration of Windows Defender.

The activity is related to the real-time protection provided by antivirus software. Turning off real-time protection will prevent cartridge activity, however Tandberg Data does not recommend disabling real time protection either globally or for the RDX dock.
