RDX Technology Takes Another Giant Leap Forward

The year may be heading toward a close, but we continue our forward thrust with RDX technology by introducing the world’s first 2 terabyte (TB) RDX cartridge—the industry's highest capacity RDX media.

Now firmly established as the de facto standard for removable disk storage for small and medium-sized businesses, RDX has proven to be an extremely versatile technology. It can provide data protection for very small businesses with the RDX QuikStor system or can scale for medium-sized businesses with the RDX QuikStation removable disk array, which provides up to 16TB of online storage and infinite offline protection.

Not only does the new 2TB RDX set the industry standard, it’s affordable, reliable and very easy to use while saving customers time and money—more data can now be stored on fewer cartridges because the maximum single RDX cartridge capacity has increased by 33%.

We’re very proud of how established our RDX technology has become in the industry for backup, archive, disaster recovery, data transport and cloud seeding. It’s the perfect replacement for digital audio tape (DAT) and other aging tape technologies, optical disk and external HDD (hard disk drive) devices. Be assured that we remain resolutely committed to investing in the technology to keep up with the growing data storage needs of our thousands of RDX customers.
